San Diego FC Hosts End-Of-Year Street Flow Event

San Diego FC was excited to host its end-of-year, public community event Street Flow, a day-long celebration that brought together the best of San Diego soccer, art, and skateboarding culture. The event took place on Saturday, December 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Linda Vista Community Park and featured the inaugural San Diego FC Street Soccer Cup, including both competitive and open divisions, a live paint battle and gallery, and spotlight San Diego skate culture, highlighted by a best-trick contest.

Other activities included a live DJ & MC, food trucks, opportunity for fans to join the Club, and new merchandise.

Street Soccer Cup

This Street Soccer Cup brought together the 18 cities of San Diego via a 4v4 tournament that consisted of two divisions: an Elite Division made up of 18 teams, and an Open Division made up of nine teams. Each team had up to six players that competed in matches lasting 10 minutes on a running clock.

Secret Walls Paint Battle

To continue San Diego FC’s collaboration with the local art community, the Club partnered with renowned art collective Secret Walls, an organization that performs live paint battles around the world. The Street Flow art battle featured San Diego artists Mr. B Baby and Ezra Brown who went head-to-head in a 90-minute competition to illustrate how football thrives in San Diego. Both artists showcased their unique styles that will bring the subject to life.

San Diego FC also invited local artists to showcase and sell their work.

SK8MAFIA & Slappy’s Skate Trick Contest

San Diego is home to some of the best young skaters and as part of our commitment to create opportunities for all talent to flourish the Club partnered with iconic skate shops Slappy’s Garage & SK8MAFIA to host a best trick contest for 18 skaters at the Linda Vista Skatepark.
