San Diego FC Loans Forward Hirving Lozano to LA Galaxy

San Diego FC announced today the Club has agreed to loan winger Hirving Lozano to the LA Galaxy through the end of December 2026. For the duration of the loan, the LA Galaxy will hold the Designated Player slot and will have a permanent trade option at its conclusion.  

“We have been working with Hirving and his side to find the right opportunity for him to get him back on the field,” said SDFC Sporting Director Tyler Heaps. “We appreciate his contributions during our record-setting inaugural season and wish him well as he continues his career.”   
  
SDFC signed Lozano from PSV Eindhoven as the Club’s first-ever Designated Player ahead of its inaugural 2025 MLS season. Across all competitions, Lozano made 34 appearances recording 11 goals and nine assists as part of the SDFC roster that reached the Western Conference Final in the Club’s first season, one of the most successful inaugural campaigns in MLS history.
