San Diego FC announced today that Defender Andrés Reyes joins Colombian side Club Atlético Nacional on a permanent transfer. SDFC will retain a future sell on percentage.
Reyes, 26, joined SDFC from the New York Red Bulls on December 12, 2024 ahead of the 2025 MLS Regular Season. Reyes formed part of SDFC’s historic Inaugural Season roster making his debut against Charlotte FC on April 19, 2025 before being sidelined by a season-ending knee injury.
Prior to joining SDFC Reyes spent four seasons playing for the New York Red Bulls (2021-2024) where he made 83 appearances (71 starts) and has scored five goals. In 2024, the Puerto Tejada, Colombia native appeared in 18 of 23 matches played, logging 1,492 minutes and recording one goal and one assist. During the Red Bulls 2024 Playoff run, Reyes started and played in four matches, logging 360 minutes, and scoring the game-winning goal in the club’s 1-0 victory over Orlando City SC in the 2024 Eastern Conference Final, sending the Red Bulls to the club’s second-ever MLS Cup final.
