San Diego FC announced today that the Club has recalled Forward Anisse Saidi from his loan with USL Championship side Monterey Bay FC and subsequently loaned him to Portuguese club S.L. Benfica until June 2027 with an option to purchase.
Saidi, 17, joined SDFC on January 3, 2025, after the Club acquired his Homegrown Priority from the Philadelphia Union. He made his SDFC and MLS debut on March 23, 2025, replacing Alejandro Alvarado Jr. in the 81st minute against Austin FC. This season, Saidi has made four appearances across all competitions for SDFC including two appearances in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.
Saidi joined Monterey Bay FC on loan in June 2026 and made seven appearances for the club, scoring one goal.
