SDFC is debuting in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup against Liga MX's seven-time champions Pumas UNAM. The tournament kicks off Tuesday, February 3 at 8 PM PST at Snapdragon Stadium. A direct elimination knockout tournament played over five rounds, culminating in a final. The first four stages each consist of home and away play. The aggregate score winner from each matchup will advance.  

  • Round One: San Diego FC kicks off round one Tuesday, February 3 at Snapdragon Stadium against Pumas UNAM. Following Tuesday's match SDFC will face Pumas at Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Mexico City, Tuesday, February 10. 
  • Round of 16: The winner of the two matches will face Toluca in the Round of 16 in March.
  • Quarterfinals: The winner of the two matches will play in the Quarterfinals in April. 
  • Semifinals: The winner of the two matches will compete across April and May. 
  • Finals: The final will determine the winner of the tournament and will be played Saturday, May 30.

When is Round One?

SDFC kicks off Round One against Pumas UNAM Tuesday, February 3 at Snapdragon Stadium. Following Tuesday's match the Club will face Pumas at Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Mexico City, Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

I'm a Season Ticket Member, is the February 3 match included?

Yes, the match Tuesday, February 3 against Pumas UNAM is included in your Season Ticket Membership package. For additional questions, please email Memberships@SanDiegoFC.com or call us at 619-363-7332.

I'm a Season Ticket Member, can I purchase tickets to the February 10 match?

Yes, Members can purchase tickets to the away match. Contact your service representative for more information on purchasing tickets.

What will happen with additional rounds should SDFC advance?

If SDFC were to advance, Members will have to opt-out from the "Pay-As-We-Play" program. Members will receive email communication in early February. Make sure to check your email for details regarding how to opt-out. By opting-out, Members will be opted out of all home tournament matches. If you do not opt-out, you will automatically be enrolled for all future home matches.

Where will these matches be streamed?

Matches will be streamed on Fox Sports (FS2), TUDN and Univision.

Will there be a Watch Party for February 10?

Yes, there will be a Watch Party for the road match in Mexico City, Mexico. The location is TBD. Learn more about SDFC's Pub Partner Program presented by DIRECTV where you can see which local bars & restaurants will be showing the games.

What does winning the tournament mean?

Winning the tournament guarantees the winner of the tournament the second of four regional representatives that will qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup in 2029. The winner of the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup also qualifies for the 2026 FIFA Intercontinental Cup. Comprised of the six FIFA confederation champions, the annual tournament will likely take place in December 2026. Learn more about the tournament here.
