San Diego FC is excited to be a part of the 2026 Leagues Cup Competition. This tournament sanctioned by Concacaf features 18 clubs from MLS and 18 clubs from LIGA MX with the top three finishers qualifying for the Concacaf Champions Cup.

SDFC will kick off participation in the competition by traveling to Estadio Banorte in Mexico City to face LIGA MX’s Club América on August 6. The Club will then return home to host matches at Snapdragon Stadium against Club Tijuana (Xolos) on Sunday, Aug. 9, and Puebla FC on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Tickets for these home matches are on sale now. These matches are included in the 2026 Season Ticket Memberships, but Members will have a presale to purchase additional tickets.

  • Features 36 clubs including all 18 LIGA MX teams and 18 qualifying MLS teams.
  • The top nine teams in each MLS conference who participated in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs from 2025 qualified. 
  • Consists of two rounds: Phase One, beginning August 4, and the Knockout Rounds, ending with the Leagues Cup Final on September 6.
  • The Quarterfinal pairings will be decided based on Leagues Cup Phase One performance.
  • Top three teams will receive automatic bids into Concacaf Champions Cup with a chance to represent the Confederation at the FIFA Club World Cup.
  • No Draws format.
