Clark oversees Marketing, Performance Marketing, Communications, Brand, Digital, and Community as the Club continues to strengthen its connection with fans and community in San Diego and beyond
San Diego FC today announced the appointment of Brandon Clark as the Club’s first-ever Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications. In this role, Clark oversees the Marketing, Performance Marketing, Communications, Brand, Digital, and Community departments, guiding the Club’s efforts to elevate its brand, expand its audience, and deepen community impact.
Clark brings more than two decades of leadership experience across global sports and entertainment properties. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Marketing & Communications for the Washington Spirit of the NWSL, where the club grew its 2025 season-ticket base by 71% and recorded a 30% increase in paid attendance during the 2024 campaign.
“Brandon is a proven leader who understands how to build dynamic brands and engage fans in meaningful ways,” said SDFC CEO Tom Penn. “His global experience across sports and entertainment, combined with his innovative approach to marketing, make him the ideal leader to help us shape the SDFC story.”
Before joining the Spirit, Clark was part of the Raiders' leadership team during the organization’s relocation to Las Vegas. He played a pivotal role in the Allegiant Stadium Personal Seat License (PSL) and Founding Partner corporate partnership campaigns, which doubled initial forecasts and set NFL records.
“I’m honored to join SDFC during such an exciting time for the Club and the community,” said Clark. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help define the identity of a team and build lasting connections with fans in San Diego and around the world.”
Clark joins a growing leadership team at SDFC as the Club continues to build its presence both on and off the field.
Earlier in his career, Clark was part of the international leadership teams at GoPro and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he helped build both brands and scale their businesses in emerging markets. Fluent in Spanish and experienced working internationally, he is recognized for developing high-impact marketing strategies that grow audiences, drive revenue, and elevate brand value across diverse markets.
