1. SDFC and Xolos are coming together to kick off their five-year partnership with the debut of the Baja Cup presented by Modelo. One annual match, one trophy, and one champion. Who will be crowned the Baja Cup Champion this year? This historic friendly marks the celebration of the region’s shared football culture.

2. In honor of Mexican Independence Day, fans can join us at Ford FanFest for pre-match activities! The celebration kicks off at 4 PM with a LatinX panel where fans can learn more about the sports industry from Nike’s Global Social Media Lead Karla Ortiz and San Diego FC’s Executive Vice President of Club Operations Ricardo Campos.

Enjoy performances from Mariachi Continental de San Diego and La Fiesta Danzantes de San Diego. To celebrate our partnership with Xolos, the mascot Xoloitzcuintli and Xolos’ girls will also be doing on-stage giveaways.

3. Aled Anaya is the Playmaker of the Match with his one-of-a-kind designs honoring the cultura Mexicana. Anaya is the son of Mexican immigrants and is deeply influenced by the Mexican Muralism movement and contemporary Latin American street art.
