From the Chrome Ball Tour throughout the various communities of San Diego to our Inaugural Home Match, you, the fans, have been there with us. Since San Diego announced that the city was awarded an expansion Major League Soccer (MLS) team, you have been an integral part of San Diego’s fastest growing family.
SDFC has had an unbelievable start to the season. The first match in Club history was one for the books, defeating the MLS Champions, the Los Angeles Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park in the first-ever regular season match up, 0-2. Since kicking off our inaugural season in February 2025, SDFC has totaled 46 goals, the highest scoring team in the league. The Club is also currently at the top of the Western Conference.
To celebrate our milestones, we invited Members, Supporters, fans, and local businesses to highlight how special it is what we’ve built in this city of San Diego.
The documentary below shows key moments of how we’ve gotten to where we are so far through the lens of Sporting Director and General Manager Tyler Heaps, Head Coach Mikey Varas, Midfielder and Captain Jeppe Tverskov. Listen to their perspectives on the “Family Beginnings,” the highs and lows the Club has been through since kicking off their inaugural season, but most importantly the ambitions for the second half of the season. There’s no stopping SDFC, especially with the love and support from our fans.
This campaign was inspired by the squad's realization that San Diego’s competitive advantage is that we’re a family on and off the pitch. That no matter how low we get, we will be there, shoulder to shoulder. Not to mention the miles you travel to cheer us on when we’re away. We hear you and you drive us to keep on going.
We can’t wait to continue making memories with you this season and for many seasons to come. Thank you to all of you, and a special thanks to our Season Ticket Members for being with us from the beginning. Not a Season Ticket Member? Don’t worry, you can become a Member and take advantage of exclusive benefits.
