San Diego FC Kicks off June with a win

San Diego’s biggest fiesta didn’t disappoint. Not only did San Diego FC win their first-ever friendly against Club América, SDFC celebrated two fútbol cultures.

It was a night full of family-friendly fun. The festivities kicked off with FanFest where fans had the opportunity to enjoy live entertainment. The music of Band Firmeza and Culichi NP had fans dancing on the East Lawn. Fans also enjoyed meeting Club América Legend Isaac Terrazas and San Diego FC’s Willy. Fanfest was full of smiling fans taking photos, enjoying good food and drinks, and not to mention the lowriders.

The fun continued when the gates were opened, and fans filled the Snapdragon Stadium. Waves of yellow kits and navy kits covered the stadium. Whether it was the supporters' section from SDFC or Club América, fans cheered for their favorite team. Legendary Mexican forward Hugo Sanchez kicked off the match by being the keeper of the flow.

In front of a sold-out crowd, both teams gave it their all to come out victorious. After 90 minutes of football, SDFC came out with a 3-0 victory against Club América. The fun didn’t stop there; the two teams came together post-match to commemorate this historic moment with a photograph.
