San Diego FC announced today a deeply integrated, multi-year partnership with Rady Children’s Health. Rooted in a shared commitment to youth wellness, the partnership brings together two trusted and local organizations focused on supporting the health, mental well-being, and joy of children across the San Diego region.

“A club is only as strong as the community it represents, and there is no organization more vital to the well-being of San Diego’s youth than Rady Children’s,” said SDFC CEO Tom Penn. “This is far more than a traditional partnership; it is a shared mission to lift the next generation. From supporting youth mental health to creating unforgettable community experiences, we are proud to stand alongside Rady Children’s to make a lasting, positive impact on our community's kids.”

As a cornerstone of the partnership, Rady Children’s Health will serve as the Presenting Partner of the upcoming SDFC Kids Club (official name to be announced). Designed as a youth membership program for families across the San Diego community, the SDFC Kids Club will bring young fans closer to the sport through unique member experiences and events while fostering confidence, resilience, and strong character, reinforcing SDFC and Rady Children’s Health’s shared commitment to empowering kids to pursue their dreams. Emphasizing the partnership's focus on collective impact, the program will feature a direct give-back component, with a portion of all membership proceeds donated back to Rady Children's Health to fund vital pediatric healthcare services and research.

“At Rady Children’s, our mission is to be here for the kids in our community: advancing hope, health and healing. To do that, our work must extend beyond our four walls,” said Charles Davis, MD, President, Rady Children’s Health San Diego. “Partnering with San Diego FC allows us to combine the power of sport with cultural and community connection and our expertise in pediatric health and wellness. Together we can inspire a healthier, more resilient generation of young San Diegans.”

Recognizing the critical importance of holistic pediatric health, SDFC and Rady Children’s will collaborate on a dedicated youth mental health education initiative. The two will co-create impactful content and digital resources aimed at destigmatizing mental health conversations, promoting emotional well-being, and providing families with actionable wellness tools for kids.

To bring the magic of professional soccer directly to those who need it most, Rady Children’s Health will receive a dedicated row of SDFC season tickets. The hospital will utilize these tickets throughout the season to create meaningful, uplifting experiences for Rady Children’s patients, families, and the healthcare staff who care for them.
