SDFC closes out the month of May unbeaten at home with 2-0 win over Austin FC
San Diego FC earned three points at home with a 2-0 win over Austin FC at Snapdragon Stadium on Saturday night. San Diego natives Luca De La Torre and Milan Iloski found the back of the net to give the Club its fifth consecutive home victory, wrapping up an unbeaten month of May at Snapdragon Stadium.
De La Torre opened the scoring in the 60th minute before Iloski came off the bench to double the lead and help SDFC secure the win. Tonight’s match marked the second meeting between the two clubs, with Austin FC having won the first encounter 2-1 on March 23 at Q2 Stadium.
SDFC will now head into a two-week break from MLS play during the June FIFA International Window. During that span, the Club will host Liga MX powerhouse Club América at Snapdragon Stadium on Saturday, June 7 at 7:00 p.m. PT. SDFC will return to MLS action on Saturday, June 14 with a visit to Minnesota United FC at Allianz Field.

1-0 – SD – Luca de la Torre (Hirving “Chucky” Lozano, Paddy McNair), 60th minute: De la Torre opened the scoring in the 60th minute, slotting a right-footed shot from the center of the box past Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stuver. The play began with a long ball from Paddy McNair to Lozano, who delivered the assist to set up the goal on top of the 18-yard box.
2-0 – SD – Milan Iloski (Anders Dreyer) 90+2: Just two minutes after entering the match, Iloski extended SDFC’s lead with a right-footed finish from inside the box, capitalizing on a well-placed pass from Dreyer to seal the 2-0 win.
