San Diego FC (6-4-2, 20 points) returns to Snapdragon Stadium for the first of two home matches this week, beginning with a midweek clash against the Colorado Rapids (4-4-4, 16 points) on Wednesday, May 14. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT, with live coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and local radio broadcasts in English on  San Diego Sports 760 AM and in Spanish on TUDN 1700 AM.

Midweek Action at Home

Wednesday’s match marks San Diego FC’s first-ever midweek fixture and the Club’s 13th MLS regular season match of its inaugural campaign. SDFC will be looking to carry momentum from back-to-back wins into Matchday 13, while also aiming to even the season series with Colorado, who earned a narrow 3-2 victory in the first meeting on April 12 in Commerce City.

Finding Their Flow

SDFC enters Wednesday’s match following a hard-fought 2-1 win over St. Louis CITY SC on May 10 at Energizer Park, a result that snapped a three-match road losing streak. Second-half goals by Milan Iloski and Anders Dreyer lifted San Diego to its third road victory and sixth overall win of the season. With the result, the Club remains fourth in the Western Conference and has outscored opponents 7-1 over its last two matches.

Offensive Firepower

SDFC’s attack continues to impress, now tied with the Philadelphia Union for the third-most goals scored in MLS this season (23). Anders Dreyer and Hirving “Chucky” Lozano have each tallied 10 combined goals and assists, making SDFC the only MLS club with two players reaching double digits in goal contributions after 12 matches. Dreyer’s late game-winner in St. Louis marked his fifth goal of the season, while Iloski – a San Diego native – has now scored in back-to-back matches coming off the bench.

Rapids on the Road

Colorado arrives in San Diego with a 4-4-4 record and currently sits ninth in the Western Conference. The Rapids edged SDFC 3-2 in their previous meeting last month, but have managed just one win in their last five matches and will face a high-pressure environment at Snapdragon Stadium, where San Diego holds a 3-1-2 home record.
