SDFC will need a win against Club Puebla on Wednesday to keep its advancement hopes alive, with the final Phase One standings to be determined following the completion of all matches in the opening stage.

Building on Sunday’s Win

SDFC returns to Snapdragon Stadium following a 1-0 victory over Club Tijuana in front of a sold-out crowd.

Zamblé opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, sliding into the six-yard box to finish a right-footed shot after Alvarado Jr. sent a quick cross into the area. The goal marked the 18-year-old’s first in international competition and his second goal of the season. He now has two goals and two assists across all competitions with SDFC.

SDFC controlled possession throughout the match, holding a 59-41 percent advantage and completing 628 passes compared to Club Tijuana’s 343. Goalkeeper CJ Dos Santos made two saves to record the shutout.

The victory also marked SDFC’s first three points of the 2026 Leagues Cup and improved the Club to 5-3-3 at home across all competitions in 2026.

A New Liga MX Opponent

The Club is now 4-5 against Liga MX opponents in official competition and 4-4 against Liga MX clubs across all competitions.
